If you have one Android smartphone old, which crashes, has random reboots and things like this, the CyanogenMod could save your life.
The CyanogenMod is a ROM (custom Android operating system) that, officially or not, supports many devices. So let's see how to install it
ATTENTION: I DO NOT ASSUME ANY LIABILITY FOR POSSIBLE DAMAGES CAUSED TO YOUR DEVICE.
- Windows computer
- USB Cable
- Recovery modified
- GApps (Google Apps)
To get the recovery modified, perform a quick Google search to find the CWM (ClockWorkMod) or TWRP for your device. To install it on Samsung devices, follow this procedure:
Install Custom Recovery on devices Samsung
Download the Odin program and open it
- Odin | Download
Download the recovery for your device (it must be with tar, tgz or tar.gz extension) and clicking on the PDA or AP button (within Odin) navigate until you find it. Then connect the phone to the computer (Odin should recognize it) and enter download mode. To do this, turn off the phone and turn it back on while holding down Power, Volume down, home. Then confirm to the warning that it will appear, by pressing volume up. Once inside, press Start on Odin and wait for the end. To enter the new recovery, switch on the phone as before, except that instead of pressing volume down, press volume up.
If you have a cell phone is not Samsung, do a Google search to know how to install it.
Make the ROOT
Now you need to get root permissions. Download the zip file compatible with your device and move it to the internal memory. So in the recovery go up install is install zip from sdcard (you move with the volume rocker, with power selected - if you have a Samsung device, instead, with Home selected and with power go back) and select the zip you just downloaded.
