A few months have passed since the release of Two OnePlus and, after the various rumors and long waits, the new one was officially announced a few days ago OnePlus X.
This time OnePlus aimed to make a smartphone at a cheaper price and X brought with it several new features compared to its predecessors, but lost some features at the same time.
Let's find out together.
Features OnePlus X
Let's start with the new materials that distinguish this device: OnePlus has abandoned the sandstone cover - adopted with the previous ones - to move to theonyx (onyx), the material of which the back of OnePlus X will be composed, safe then by a layer of glass. This won't be the only material available; in fact, an edition will soon be available which will boast the ceramic, without protective glass and in a limited edition (about 10000 pieces), as processing times are quite long. The ceramic version will have a higher price than the onyx.
The cover is no longer removable as we have seen on OnePlus Two and the chassis also changes, which will have different grooves to favor grip. Continuing the comparison with Two, remains the practical switch to change profiles instantly, but the Type-C port disappears; once again OnePlus decides not to mount the NFC, present instead on the old one One.
Another novelty not to be underestimated concerns the display: this time a new one is used Amoled and the dimensions of the panel descend to 5 ″. The resolution is still excellent, in fact we have 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD) for a total of 441 PPI.
Moving inside OnePlus X, we immediately notice a Snapdragon 801, Quad Core @ 2.3GHz; a risky choice that will surely turn up their noses for the most demanding, since, as you know, it is certainly not a very recent processor. Adreno 330 GPU, 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of ROM expandable up to 128 GB; unfortunately it seems that this time the 16 GB one is the only available cut. Moving on to the photographic sector, OnePlus X mounts an 8 MP sensor on the front, while on the back we find a 13 MP Samsung ISOCELL sensor with f / 2.2 aperture, autofocus in 0.2s and LED flash.
Possibility to use two SIMs simultaneously (or a SIM and SD card), both nano and both 4G without 800 MHz frequency support. Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi a / b / g / n, GPS, A-GPS, Glonass. The battery is 2450 mAh probably without Quick Charge, while the operating system is Oxygen OS, based on Android 5.1.
Dimensions: 14 x 6.9 x 0.69 cm; weight: 138 grams.
