Yesterday Qualcomm presented a new processor: lo Snapdragon 855 + (o Snapdragon 855 Plus). The new processor, as its name implies, is nothing more than an even more powerful version of the current one 855. Obviously the announcement immediately made the antennas of many smartphone companies stand up ready to install the powerful processor inside their devices. One of these, according to the latest rumors, could be Redmi that would be thinking of developing a smartphone for the future Redmi with Snapdragon 855 Plus.
Smartphone Redmi with Snapdragon 855 + could be reality
Qualcomm has already announced that this version of the SD 855 will bring improvements to mobile devices in terms of computing, of course, but also in gaming with an even more powerful graphics engine. It is obvious that, already being it SD 855 a high-end processor, even his Plus version will be dedicated to top of the range devices. Redmihowever, even though it is not a company that produces top of the range, it would have shown interest in the new processor. Interest shown up Weibo from CEO company, Lu Weibing.
Lu Weibing, in fact, a few hours after the official announcement of the Qualcomm wanted to re-post a post which asked which of the two companies, between Redmi e Xiaomi, would have brought the new processor first. A re-post that maybe will be absolutely innocent but which, of course, immediately triggered the first rumors of a Redmi with Snapdragon 855 +.
The company, we remind you, that just a few months ago it released its first flagship line, the Redmi K20. Thus, a smartphone with this type of processor can only be inserted in this series and a probable Redmi K30 is not expected until after the first quarter of 2020. The only solution would be to release a third version of the K20 with the plus version of the processor, but for now we have no news on the matter.
Obviously it would already be great news to know that you can have a smartphone Redmi with Snapdragon 855 +. But, for now, it would seem Xiaomi the company is ready, right away, to use the new processor. Maybe on the imminent Xiaomi Mi Mix 4? Who knows!
