Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn, our impressions

Last, it was Ubuntu week, which was updated at 14.10, introducing very few new features compared to the previous one.

The only news I found is Unity 7.3.1, but we expected Unity 8, the performance is slightly improved (on the contrary the dashboard lagga more on my PC), new backgrounds ... and then? Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic ends here. At least as regards the "visual" part, there have been revisitations in the source code and the introduction of the kernel Linux 3.16.

That said… Update or not?

The choice varies: You are looking for maximum stability, you don't want to update for various reasons ... then not updated; if instead you are like me, geeks who are always looking for news, even things that are not "visible" then updated to keep up with the times.

There is also to say that with Ubuntu 14.10 you are safe from Shellshock, I invite you to visit ours article for more info ... However the patch-fix for Shellshock for Ubuntu 14.04 has already been released.
