One of the most anticipated devices for this summer is definitely the new fitness tracker from Xiaomi: the Xiaomi Mi Band 4. The fourth device in the series We Band, in fact, after being spotted in some certifications during the month of March today, finally, it is shown in some very early real photos.
Xiaomi Mi Band 4: First photos reveal a different design and the 135 mAh battery
The photos that have been published in these days arrive from a certification just received from the device. Let's talk about the NCC certification released in Taiwan, a type of certification that not only confirms the probable imminent arrival of the fitness tracker, but also delights us with its very first real photos.
The photos, in addition to making us discover the new look that will have the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 they also suggest further and interesting news that will differentiate the new version from the previous ones. Let's start with the design of the Mi Band 4 which comes with a rectangular display and with increasingly thin frames. On the front there is a capacitive button that replaces the recessed one of the third version. The presence of the cardiac sensor remains confirmed in the back, which will surely bring improvements over the previous versions.
Moreover, a new charging system seems to emerge from the photos. In fact, compared to its previous versions, the company seems to have decided to change the charging cable which, at this point, will no longer be compatible with the versions of the We Band previous but made ad hoc for the new version. A type of decision that, we think, was made only to increase the accessories market, as this change could prevent the new one We Band to be compatible with straps or other accessories I Band 3 or 2.
Finally the photos posted for the NCC certification we anticipate a first technical specification of the fitness tracker, which according to the photos, will arrive on the market with a battery from 135 mAh. If therefore we had already surprised the autonomy of the Mi Band 3 with its 110 mAh expect new records from the new version.
In short, the new one Xiaomi Mi Band 4 it's really close. The certification and the first photos suggest us that the device could arrive already within the next month of May. The new fitness tracker should come in two versions, one with NFC and one without. We hope that, this time, we Europeans will also be able to take advantage of the version with NFC technology.
