For the happy owners of Xiaomi Mi2, yesterday was a pretty positive day! The terminal in question will now be officially supported by the team CyanogenMod e PAC-ROM. The downloads are already available and we have to thank Linuxx (Joey Rizzoli) e M1cha (Michael Zimmermann) for the hard work done.
Let's see some news. Let's start by saying that the PAC-ROM is currently at version 4.4.2, while the CyanogenMod has already been updated to 4.4.3 by Joey himself. The second is certainly the best known ROM, the PAC-ROM is instead - for the uninitiated - a "fusion" of several ROMs: CyanogenMod, Paranoid Android and AOKP, one of the ROMs with more customizations then.
I haven't had the chance to install the PAC-man yet, but I've been trying the CyanogenMod with Android 4.4.3 for a few days: they are obviously present new version updates; have been solved some small bugs present on the Cyanogen (missing profile picture in the tiles, etc) and added features already present on the Cyanogen, but still absent for Xiaomi. Some features are now available such as consumption management and other small improvements.
The ROM is quite stable and light, so very fluid, even better than the MIUI in my opinion, so you just have to try it! On the other hand, you have two partitions, so you have no excuse 😉
