After the project Phonebloks a few months ago and the recent collaboration with Motorola, Project Ara, to make the phone of the future, or a phone that can be assembled with interchangeable hardware, also arrives ZTE offering ECO-MOBIUS.
ECO-MOBIUS will be a terminal that like Project Ara, will have hardware modules that can be replaced in case of failure or to upgrade the device. The modules are divided into four, independent of each other: LCD, battery, core e camera. The "core" module is the one concerning the cpu, ram, rom, gpu and other electronic components. The modules can be easily assembled and removed by sliding and will be compatible with the entire ECO-MOBIUS series which will have a unique design.
It will not be difficult to find the components to change, in fact there will be a special application, a sort of market, which will give us a list of users selling the hardware part we are looking for. As a result, you can also sell your components.
The part that houses all the modules is the front, or the display. In fact, by buying a larger display, this will have more space available, useful for inserting additional batteries.
Unfortunately, it is not yet known when it will be possible to see these terminals on the market, and who knows who will be the first to create the “block phone”. Will it be Motorola's Big G or ZTE?
